International humanitarian law
On the first day, comprehensive information was presented about international human rights law and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, with an overview of the historical circumstances of their establishment, as well as information on treaties and agreements that constitute sources of human rights law. The system and mechanisms adopted in the United Nations for human rights law were also presented.
The workshop included the presentation of illustrative videos on the topics raised, and an exercise was conducted to consolidate information and open the way for group discussions and presentation of opinions
On the second day of the workshop, extensive information was presented about international humanitarian law, its historical development, sources, exceptions and standards, as well as information on international crimes and examples of them.
The workshop included the presentation of explanatory videos and the trial of war criminals in the former Yugoslavia. The workshop concluded with a group and interactive discussion on the topics raised during the two days.
