Let's take a common position based on justice, peace, and rights

A statement was issued by 71 Syrian and Turkish human rights organizations regarding the racist discourse against Syrians.
In recent months, the refugee community has suffered from incidents of attacks and crimes, and these incidents had worrying consequences.
In August of last year, a group of racists attacked the workplaces and homes of Syrian refugees in the "Altindag" area of the state of Ankara, preceded by the killing of the young man "Hamza Ajan - 17 years old", who was killed after being attacked by a group of young men And that while he was working in one of the markets of Bursa state, and there are many facts and cases that we can add to the list of painful events.
What we are witnessing today in terms of facts and attacks on refugees is nothing but the horrific result of the huge amount of misleading and false information and data about the Syrian refugee community, during the last ten years, and the problem of data and false information that deals with the Syrian refugee community is continuing to this day,
This is in light of the lack of awareness of some of the aspects and consequences of hate speech and racial discrimination.
Because of the violence that innocent people from the refugee community are subjected to, we call on all supporters of the values of truth and justice to raise their voices to curb hate speech and violence, by the following points and demands:
▪︎ Refugees have a right, and it is the responsibility of everyone who advocates the values of justice and peace in this country to treat refugees by the principles of human dignity, and this is one of the basic principles of moral and human values in dealing with them. The government must also treat refugees following the law. Within this framework, all rights related to refugees must be recognized because they are human beings, and these rights must be protected according to effective steps and mechanisms.
▪︎ The government must take more effective measures and measures to protect the lives of refugees and secure their safety, and it must correct the wrong data and information circulated in society about the reality of refugees, and it must investigate more rigorously circulated attacks on refugees.
▪︎ Politicians, as the election date approaches, must stop and put an end to the exploitation of refugees in their speeches and propaganda programs. This dirty propaganda is leading to violence against refugees. Politicians must also avoid racist statements and expressions. And reject and reject everyone who does so.
▪︎ We must not forget that everyone who assaulted or incited through the media and social media against refugees, in the end, committed a crime. In return, the law and its articles against hatred and racial discrimination must be applied to individuals/personalities who occupy public office. And those who violate the laws attached to combating hatred and racial discrimination (such as the mayors of some municipalities), the perpetrators must not remain unpunished, and strict laws must be enacted within the framework of limiting the aspects and manifestations of racial hatred and discrimination.
▪︎ The media must not ignore the issues and attacks that refugees are exposed to, as well as the impact of the word and the context of speech on incitement to hatred and racial discrimination directly / indirectly, so it is necessary to seek to select verbal descriptions and vocabulary Expressionism while dealing with the refugee issue, and it must use objective language that does not violate rights.
Together, according to a common path, we can put an end to the words and behaviors that hurt our humanity and conscience, as well as we can stop the racist attacks and incidents that are growing in parallel with hate speech and racial discrimination, and we can also confront the hate speech that produces violence.
Based on the foregoing, we must protect and defend life firmly, be more determined in the face of everyone who tries to make us enemies of each other and seeks to get rid of us, and not leave room for feelings of hatred and racial discrimination.
In light of these demands, we call on all parties to take a common position based on the foundations of justice and peace to confront and stop the hatred that has reached the point of threatening the lives of others.
