A qualitative surgical procedure at Al-Dana Hospital in the northern

Over the course of several years, Ghadeer has been exposed to seven instances of early projections. She is now in her fourth month of pregnancy.
During her stay at Al-Dana Hospital, she presented her medical story to Dr. Mahmoud Al-Bawab, a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology, who closely followed her condition.
The doctor says: "The patient has seven miscarriages and has a baby girl. After the ultrasound examination, it was found that she was pregnant (13 weeks of gestation). The cervix was examined with laparoscopy, and it was found that there was an old rupture of the cervix (a deformed neck in the form of a semicircular ring)."
The decision to perform cervical cerclage, via the abdomen, was made as a last resort to ensure the continuation of the pregnancy.
The doctor continues: "We prepared the patient for surgery, by making an incision and dissecting the layers of the abdominal wall down to the uterus, where the bladder was found firmly attached to the front face of the uterus. A dissection of the bladder was performed with great difficulty, and a cordoning of the cervix was performed at the level of the internal orifice."
The patient was monitored in the hospitalization department, and after follow-up it was found that the fetus is in an excellent and stable condition.
Abdominal cervical cerclage is the last method that can be used in cases of cervical insufficiency and insufficiency, which increased the risk of cerclage, being pregnant, with a previous caesarean delivery.
Ghadeer, the displaced woman from Eastern Ghouta, could not believe that she had managed to get rid of the projections, which, according to her, had caused her difficult psychological problems.
This qualitative surgical procedure performed by our staff at Al-Dana Hospital, enabled the woman to live happily with her husband and child in Kafr Lusin camp in the northern countryside of Idlib, and she is waiting for her new child with hope.
