Training workshop for medical students in Irbid
The SAMS Psychosocial Support Program team, in cooperation with the University of Science and Technology in Irbid, organized a training workshop for post-traumatic stress disorder for medical students.
The most important topics of the workshop included the definition of the concept of psychological trauma, the criteria for diagnosing post-traumatic stress disorder according to the fifth diagnostic manual, the concept of suicide, the factors that increase the risk of suicide, the neurological foundations of post-traumatic stress disorder and its impact on cognitive processing.
