our MHPSS team concluded its second training session for 31 mental health specialists
As part of SAMS’ series of ongoing joint training programs in partnership with the Ministry of Health in #Jordan, our MHPSS team concluded its second training session for 31 mental health specialists with the Islamic Society Center. The session covered a variety of topics, including case management, stress management, and strategies for mental health specialists to help both patients and themselves respond to extreme stress in a healthy manner. SAMS is committed to supporting mental health training and providing essential mental health services to ensure that the most vulnerable receive the care they need and deserve, especially amid ongoing violence and displacement. SAMS will continue to work with our partners in the field to address mental health among displaced and underserved populations and build capacity to ensure access to quality mental health services in the long term.
