Preliminary results of the Syrian Youth Gathering Program for Online Counseling
Today, we are pleased to share with you some of the preliminary results of the Syrian Youth Association's Online Mentoring Program.
Our program started in October 2021 and we worked to provide professional and academic guidance and to learn the German language, and we allocated a program for girls exclusively.
The program has so far been able to provide its services to more than 300 young men and women, with a participation rate of girls that exceeded 65%, each person received approximately 6 hours of counseling via the Internet via a video communication system, and we have provided a total of more than 1,800 hours of counseling so far.
The great credit for our results was the interest of our counselors in voluntary work to support Syrian youth, as the counselors' background was professionals and academics from Germany and France, and their number reached more than 125 people.
The program was entirely in English or German and greatly contributed to improving the CV, discussing the career path, providing advice, job interview experiences and personal skills.
Our program will continue during the coming period with the addition of new guidance areas.
