The military police militia of the (National) Army arrested lawyer Farouk al-Muhaimid without any warrant issued by a competent judicial authority and without even explaining the reason for this arbitrary measure, which reflects the extent of indifference and disregard for laws. Under the mantle of the so-called (national) army in northwestern Syria against citizens in general
We in the Syrian Lawyers Association express our condemnation of this violation and disregard for legal obligations that are supposed to constitute a protection for individuals and their rights, and we declare our full solidarity with our colleague Farouk al-Muhaimid and with all detainees outside the law. With the behavior of the criminal regime and its tools, it will certainly place them under accountability for the crimes and violations they commit against Syrians.
