The Syrian Women's Network issues a statement on bullying against Syrian women

The Syrian Women's Network condemns attempts to exclude women by bullying them
The Syrian Women's Network issued a statement regarding the caricatures of the woman's body and the accompanying comments. It stated:
The patriarchal culture sees the woman’s body as a place of shame and disgrace, and it seeks to degrade the physical appearance of women, and destroy their pride by bullying and mocking their bodies. The network denounces this behavior, and considers it a form of sexual harassment that is morally, humane and legally condemned in many countries of the world.
The network confirms that using these methods in the political field and in conflict arenas to undermine the will of political opponents is a double crime, and incitement to violence and rape, which is classified as a crime against humanity. ?
The Syrian Women's Network affirms that women's rights are human rights, and that all human beings are equal in eligibility, status and rights.
We condemn every attempt to insult and expose women on the basis of their gender
We support any legal action taken by women activists in public affairs with the aim of achieving justice and equity for any woman who has been or is being abused, defamed and harassed because of her gender.
