The full report is available in Arabic

Since the Russian and Turkish side signed the ceasefire agreement signed on March 5, 2020, which included the conduct of Russian and Turkish patrols along the M4 road, the opposition-controlled areas in Idlib and Aleppo have been subjected to missile and air targeting by the regime and Russia; which increased in frequency in early 2021 and reached its climax in the months of May and June, focusing on the de-escalation zone in Idlib, which is the area located in the vicinity of the M4 road;

The report attempts to clarify the political and security goals that the targeting operations aim at; This is based on analyzing data and information related to Russian air strikes and regime artillery strikes during the time period between May and June 2021,[1] in order to determine the strength or fragility of the Russian and Turkish agreement regarding the ceasefire and not targeting the area surrounding the M4 road. In order to try to explore the determinants of Russia's movement and the regime in these operations. This monitoring was carried out by the Omran Center team in Idlib, and it was interrupted with the monitoring files of the IhsanRD team.
