Since November 2020, SAMS’ teams in Greece have held pediatric missions at our facilities in Athens, Malakasa, and other locations in order to provide children in these communities with the care they need. One of those children is Iraj, a 5-year-old boy from Afghanistan. Iraj’s father told SAMS Staff how important it is for them to have access to frequent doctor visits and wellness checks. Until he arrived at the SAMS-run facility, he had never been to a doctor or received his essential vaccinations that are crucial to good health in early childhood. Iraj’s experience is that of many children in these communities, and SAMS will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that all children regardless of their status or condition receive the treatment,vaccinations and care they need.
