Saving a patient's life from serious complications

The operation that was performed on the 43-year-old patient, M.A., was successful, and she left Al-Ikhaa Hospital in good health, after she visited the gynecological clinic with a complaint of general weakness associated with chronic anemia and pallor caused by abnormal uterine bleeding treated for a year without any improvement.

Ultrasound waves of the uterus showed the presence of a fibrous tumor that occupies the entire uterine cavity with a diameter of 11 cm. The patient was prepared for surgery and the blood transfusion necessary to improve her general condition by surgical work. A complete hysterectomy was performed while preserving the accessories.

The surgical staff included: Specialist: Dr. Aisha Hamadeh, resident: Dr. Maryam Sweid, Surgeon Assistant: Amira Hamidi, Anesthesia Technician: Amna Al-Taleb.
This operation is one of 116 successful gynecological surgeries during last June at Al Ekhaa Hospital.
