SAMS provides medical care within multidisciplinary missions

Thanks to the generosity of volunteers, members and donors, last month SAMS completed a multidisciplinary mission to Jordan on June 24, after a 3-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To conduct a 7-day multidisciplinary task.
In addition to providing primary care services, the teams have provided general surgeries, interventional cardiac surgeries (catheters and stents), eye surgeries, pediatric oral surgeries, and much more. Sams is grateful for the tireless efforts of all volunteers on the mission, including Dr. Monica Lorimer (general surgery), Dr. Hee Joon Kim (ocular plastic surgery), and Dr. Rosana Haris (dental surgery) who led the interventional teams.
During the 7-day mission, volunteers worked tirelessly, providing medical services to 1958 beneficiaries in 23 locations across Jordan. In addition to primary care services, volunteers provided 266 surgeries and 565 dental services, all of which are free for patients struggling to get care.
