Opening of 7 new clinics for Idlib Surgical Specialist Hospital

Sima opens 7 specialized medical clinics within the new expansion of the Idlib Specialized Surgical Hospital to protect workers and patients
The Syrian Expatriates Medical Association "Sima" has opened a series of outpatient clinics consisting of 7 clinics covering 10 different medical specialties, attached to the Idlib Specialized Surgical Hospital.
This comes within the framework of the new expansion outside the hospital campus, with the aim of accommodating more patients and visitors on the one hand, and with the aim of ensuring privacy and protection for workers and patients inside the hospital on the other hand.
The opening was attended by Dr. "Mohammed Hassan Maghribia" CEO of Sima, and representatives from the Idlib Health Directorate, the Syrian Authority for Medical Specialties SBOMS and the International Rescue Committee IRC
"The new department is equipped according to the latest medical standards, taking into account the factors of lighting, air conditioning, ventilation and privacy for all patients and accompanying persons attending the hospital clinics," said Dr. "Wasel Al-Jark", director of medical programs at SEMA.
He explained that: "The new clinic rooms will include 10 medical specialties and will be added to 5 operating rooms and two additional rooms for women's surgeries in the Idlib Specialized Surgical Hospital," adding, "The hospital is currently operating with a capacity of 70 beds and 300 service providers, and provides its services to Idlib and its countryside with a population of more than 300,000 people."
These clinics will start receiving patients within the next few days, and it is expected that the number of beneficiaries of the outpatient clinics after the expansion will reach more than 13,000 beneficiaries per month. These clinics also have a room dedicated to drawing blood and laboratory tests, in addition to a pharmacy that provides free and necessary medical prescriptions to the beneficiaries.
The hospital aspires to double its services in the coming period in order to ensure the absorption of more patients who do not have access to any other place to receive treatment and serves monthly between 15,000-17,000 beneficiaries.
