Sheikh Yusuf Center is the only source of primary health care for more than 20,000 residents and displaced people
The Syrian Expatriates Medical Association "Sima" has established the Sheikh Yusef Center in the Armanaz district in the Harem area, to provide primary health care services to the more than 20,000 residents of this town in the western Idlib countryside, divided equally between residents and displaced people.
The center provides preventive and curative primary health care services by providing a series of basic and preventive vaccinations on an ongoing basis, in addition to maternal health follow-up programs (follow-up of pregnant women, postpartum services, birth spacing, and family planning), within the services of the women’s clinic, whose number of visits reached 337 women during last April.
In addition to the children's clinic that deals with child health (prevention of communicable diseases, school health, follow-up of growth and nutrition, the number of young beneficiaries reached 353 children.
The center also provides intensive examinations through the internal medicine clinic, the dental clinic, and the leishmaniasis clinic, and provides the beneficiaries with medicines and laboratory analyzes free of charge through the laboratory and pharmacy attached to the centre.
