Sima's experience in responding to COVID within the Gaziantep University conference

The Syrian Expatriates Medical Association "Sima" participated in the scientific conference "Covid-19", which was held at the University of Gaziantep, Turkey, from May 30-31, represented by Dr. Gaziantep University Mr. Musa Yildiz and a number of representatives from global and local humanitarian organizations.
Dr. Basil Idris, Director of the Covid Program in Sima, gave a presentation that included a general definition of Sima's activities and the nature of the services it provides in the northwestern regions of Syria (health - nutrition - education - protection."
Then he reviewed "Sima's activities regarding Covid, its operation for four hospitals, training workers on dealing with Covid, raising awareness within the camps about Covid disease and the importance of vaccination, in addition to Sima's support for the vaccination campaign and the SIG team through devices and some cadres, in addition to Sima's provision of 10,000 hygiene baskets to beneficiaries in the camps." .
The presentation included "the numbers of injured and deaths and the number of vaccinated people during the pandemic period, as well as the reasons that led to the decrease in the vaccination rate in northwest Syria, then the challenges faced by humanitarian workers during the crisis, as well as the lessons learned, and what it offers, especially to maintain the response and preparations for the upcoming surges."
This participation comes especially in the context of her response to an invitation to participate in the "scientific conferences" organized by Gaziantep University and dedicated to sharing research and humanitarian field experiences in light of the response to Covid.
