A familiarization visit to the Green Women's Association
Effective, proactive women create peace in their surroundings

The communication team of the Taa Marbouta Foundation made a familiarization visit to the Green Women’s League, after prior coordination by the staff of Ta Marbouta and the management of the association (Ms. Safaa Al-Omar) in order to get acquainted with the association and its influential and striking activity despite its recent inception (during 2020). Our team on the most important initiatives and projects carried out so far.
The Green Women’s Association was established in the city of Raqqa in 2020, and it is a women’s association that works to support, empower and educate women to enhance their role in decision-making, the process of building, change, and community participation.
As part of its vocational training project, the association established several departments, the most important of which are sewing, hairdressing, and a psychological support department.
The Association is interested in the Department of Psychological Support for Women, as it provides them with psychological support and helps them to complete education and training in professions. They even taught people with (deaf) needs the profession of sewing as a profession that is easy to learn given the type of disability, and they have been successful in that.
There is a sweets and kitchen section, where women make all kinds of pastries and serve the most delicious to all who come to them, whether visitors or beneficiaries.
