A child cannot be registered in Syria unless it is registered in box 16
If you do not register your child in box number 16, you will not be able to register it in Syria because the Civil Status Law stipulates that if a Syrian child is born in Lebanon, the birth must be registered with the Foreigners’ Registry in Lebanon before it is registered with the Syrian Civil Status Department and added to the family book.
