The administration of the Idlib Specialized Surgical Hospital, supported by the Syrian Expatriates Medical Association “Sima”, intends to open a series of outpatient clinics with eight different specialties outside the hospital campus in order to accommodate more patients, without affecting the health of the inpatients and the medical staff in light of the medical measures to deal with Covid-19.
During a field tour by Dr. Hassan Maghribia, CEO of Sima, to inspect the mechanism of work in the hospital wards and departments, Dr. Hassan Maghribia was briefed on the location and scheme of the outpatient clinics project, accompanied by the hospital's medical staff.
Dr. Wael Habib, a vascular surgery consultant at the hospital, said: “After the opening of our new outpatient clinics series, the patients will receive their examinations in the outpatient clinics, and only patients who need to stay in hospital wards or patients who need quality medical services will have to enter the hospital, in order to ensure that we continue to provide the best The quality of medical services and the protection of staff and patients in the hospital from infection or disease mutations caused by Covid-19.
It is expected that these clinics will start receiving patients at the beginning of next month/June, and the number of beneficiaries of the outpatient clinics after the expansion is expected to reach more than 13,000 beneficiaries per month, and attached to these clinics is a room dedicated to drawing blood and laboratory tests, in addition to a pharmacy that provides free and necessary medical prescriptions. recipient patients.
The hospital aspires to double its services in the coming period in order to ensure the absorption of more patients who do not have access to any other place to receive treatment and serves monthly between 15,000-17,000 beneficiaries.
