Civil initiatives to help poor families in Ramadan in Daraa

Families in Daraa Governorate are suffering from difficult humanitarian conditions in light of the deteriorating economic situation in the country, the spread of unemployment and the collapse of the value of the Syrian pound, especially during the month of Ramadan, when the daily needs of these families abound.
These conditions prompted the people of Daraa to launch initiatives targeting specific geographical spots, where the people of each city or town are specialized in providing material and food support to those in need.
In this context, "Issam al-Miqdad", one of the supervisors of the "Ramadan campaign" in the town of Maaraba, east of Daraa, said that it aims to provide sums of money ranging from 75 to 100 thousand Syrian pounds to more than 300 poor families in the town, indicating that the money will arrive within The first week of Ramadan to help families, provided that the same amount is also sent with the advent of Eid.
Al-Miqdad indicated that this campaign is an extension of the “twenty euros” campaign launched by the town’s expatriates in late 2020, which targeted the poorest families in the town with annual guarantees that vary in duration from one family to another, according to the person who sponsored the targeted families, some of whom sponsored them For a year, and some of them sponsored for a period of six months, in addition to shareholders who took care of families until their financial conditions improved.
