Human rights defenders hold a workshop on international humanitarian law
The Human Rights Defenders Organization, in partnership with Geneva Call, held a training workshop on international humanitarian law and types of armed conflicts in the city of Afrin, targeting 15 male and female activists and actors in public affairs from Kafr Jannah, conducted by trainer Manhal Al-Salloum. For the types of armed conflicts, there is occupation and international and non-international conflict. The parties are non-international, such as the Syrian case, and our duty as workers in public affairs is towards our society in introducing international humanitarian law and the need to respect the parties to the conflict so as not to transgress it towards civilians with their lives and property not to infringe on these properties of buildings, trees and crops.
