Mechanisms to support women and promote justice in light of the refugee crisis
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, SAMS, in partnership with the Center for Refugee Studies at Yarmouk University in Irbid, held an awareness workshop entitled “Mechanisms to support women and promote justice in light of the refugee crisis.” A number of academic students and professors at the university participated in the workshop. The workshop focused on ways and mechanisms to support Women in light of the refugee crisis and the economic, social and psychological challenges facing women in light of asylum and ways to solve and deal with them. She emphasized the societal efforts by international institutions and associations in supporting women. Some recommendations and proposals were referred to that help empower women in the future to deal with the challenges they face. .
