Protection Center in Sima celebrates International Women's Day

The Basmat Center in North Syria celebrated the anniversary of International Women's Day with the participation of a number of beneficiaries in the center, in parallel with a similar event within the "Safe Space" section in Atmeh, which attracted a number of camp women.
The event was held under the slogan (This is not normal, this must stop), in an initiative to raise the voice to combat violence against women.
The roles of Syrian women, which have changed as a result of the war, have often become the breadwinner for their families, were also discussed, in addition to their role in raising children and managing household affairs. The attendees reviewed real examples of great Syrian women who were inspiring to their societies.
Iman Sobeih, "the responsible for the safe space" in Atma / the southern district, said: "This day is an occasion to salute the Syrian woman, who was the first bearer of the family, and the bearer of all changing circumstances, reiterating the need to raise the voice of the need to stop violence against women in Syria."
