A noticeable increase in the number of maternity hospital beneficiaries
The maternity hospital in al-Bab city received 5,115 patients during the past month, with a noticeable increase over the previous months (an average of 1,100 additional patients) due to the consequences of the polar storm. The hospital specialized in reproductive health services continues to provide specialized health care for women of childbearing age and children, and 322 newborns received health care. During the last month, there were 226 natural births and 96 caesarean sections.
The hospital also provides a special section for the care of premature infants and newborns, a special ward for children, and clinics that include malnutrition services.
In addition, the hospital provides minor and major women’s general surgery services, clinics, analyzes and x-rays, and general medical consultations for patients, in addition to the emergency department that works around the clock. The maternity hospital is one of the most important medical institutions in northeastern Syria.
