Celebration session on the occasion of International Women's Day

On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Amal Center for Advocacy and Recovery held a festive session
Where the project coordinator, Nour Al-Am, opened the session by congratulating the participating women and introducing the slogan of International Women’s Day 2022, which is to break the prejudice that expresses that women are currently able to face difficulties and challenges to live in freedom and dignity to reach a diverse, equitable, inclusive world, a world equal between genders, a world Where difference is valued and celebrated.
The coordinator also asked the participants to raise their hands to express the women's ability to take on challenges.
Dr. Thanaa Fattal also participated in an intervention in which she talked about women and phobias "from wishes to freedom", where she opened her intervention with a questionnaire about the fears that women suffer from, and the most prominent of these fears were fear of society, injustice, loss, psychological and physical disability, technology, and the wrath of nature. Then she concluded the dialogue with the most important recommendations for the woman, such as negotiating and saying no to the things that she does not like and fear, and to intensify her social interaction and resort to nature, meditation, and practicing a hobby she loves.
The session concluded with an intervention by Ms. Basma Al-Rifai on the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination for Women (CEDAW), in which she spoke about the provisions of the Convention, the countries that signed it and the countries that have not signed or ratified it.
