In furtherance of the above, the Houran Humanitarian Foundation, in cooperation with the Revival of Hope Organization, conducted a training (prevention of sexual harassment and exploitation) for its cadres in the city of Afrin, which lasted for three days.
The vast majority of our employees are firmly committed professionals, many of whom work in challenging environments, sometimes even risking their safety and comfort. But our institution is not infallible, and we have seen cases where some people have used their positions of power to take advantage of others.
These actions cause irreparable harm to the victims and their families, run counter to the values that the Houran Humanitarian Foundation stands for, and undermine its work and credibility.
For this reason, we have taken a series of critical measures to strengthen our mechanisms to prevent and respond to sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment.
