The book Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson was chosen with the approval and consultation of all 14 girls, aged between 15 and 25 years, on Saturday, October 23, 2021, and Sunday, November 21, 2021
- In the first session, after the girls’ meeting in the library hall at the Amal Center for Advocacy and Recovery, books were distributed to them and the book was introduced and briefed about it.
In the second session, the book was discussed by the facilitator of the activity with the girls in the library. In it, they talked about the content of the book concisely, and the most important and most prominent ideas were commented on, and that was on several axes, including:
1- The person is in a state of permanent choice
2- Pain and suffering are part of life
3- The importance of saying “no”
4- Positivity is neither required nor correct all the time
And then write and write down their opinions on small papers and write some quotes that they loved from the book, and some of their writings:
1- Do not blame others, but admit your mistakes so that you can correct them.
2- Do not avoid failure and treat it as a loyal friend that aims to develop your skills and not hinder you from progress.
3- Instead of striving to always be right, we should look for the error that exists in our lives.
4- Live reality with its sweet and bitter details, but make sure to develop yourself and strengthen who you are.
