It was in the ‘Olive Tree Camps’ better known as the ‘Atmeh Camps’, that the Maram team first came across a brave, young Syrian girl with a harrowing story and a heart of gold. The young girl lost her father, following mass shelling in a small village in Idlib, the same shelling that left her paralyzed after sustaining an injury.
Her story, her bravery, and her kindness moved us to name the Organisation after her. Maram continues to be an inspiration for our organization, informing the work we do.
