Physiotherapist
ROLE SUMMARY:
The job holder will work as a PT in cross boarder projects under the supervision of the Head of Office. In liaise with the implementation partner, s/he will remotely support the works of the PT team working inside of Syria through the provision of technical guidance on physiotherapy or supervision of rehabilitation plans. S/he will be responsible for supporting the people with physical difficulties through contributing the development of rehabilitation plans, monitoring the field PT team, attending case committee, and inspection of assistive device provided for the beneficiaries in cooperation with the implementation partner. S/he will support the PT team’s assessment and advising the rehabilitation to patients accordingly. If patient needs the assistive device, s/he will explain the condition of the patient in the Case Management Committee. S/he will also provide feedback or technical guidance on the training and also will advise about exercise to patient’s family online if requested.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the patients’ assessments and crosscheck the assessments done by the field PTs;
- Assure appropriate rehabilitation plans and family care training for the patients and their family members;
- Attend Case Management Committee and explain the patient’s condition to the inter-organizational committee between AAR and the implementation partner;
- Monitor the rehabilitation sessions conducted by the PTs in Syria and oversee the family care training progresses through reporting by the field PTs;
- Advise the specifications of assistive devices to the AAR’s procurement team;
- Conduct spot checking of the assistive devices when items are procured in Turkey;
- Monitor the rehabilitation plans and recovery of patients by following up usage condition of the devices and knowledge of rehabilitation acquired by the caretaker and family members;
- Report to the Head of Office by weekly and monthly monitoring reports
- Perform any other duty assigned by the Head of Office
PERSON REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate Certificate in Physiotherapy (2 year)
- At least 3-year professional experience in a relevant or transferable area of work
- Fluency in English and Arabic
- Strong communication skills in wriring and speaking
- Experience planning and organization skills
- Excellent PC literacy including MS office programs and Kobo, and other tools
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and partners
- Experience of taking initiative and being proactive
- Excellent personal organisational skills, including time management, and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Willingness to travel and work in difficult environment
- Turkish Citizenship
