Logistics Manager
The Logistics Manager is responsible for providing the leadership, foresight, support and logistics advice and information to meet the CARE Turkey’s supply chain management requirements. Ensures that all the logistics requirements, including CARE’s and donor regulations are fully implemented, applicable and continually reviewed based on the program needs and the operating environment to ensure the best delivery on business needs.
This is an hands-on position that requires the position to be involved in all levels of logistics responsibilities; it requires direct invention and leadership simultaneously.
The Manager will ensure that the CARE Turkey’s assets and inventory are well secured and accounted for on a regular basis. This would include the regular visits to the CARE offices and leased properties to conduct physical counts and to ensure that all assets are fully accounted for and are linked to the respective grants.
The Manager must be able to communicate effectively as part of the job primarily involves liaising with CO departments, shipping companies, vendors and other departments. Must ensure that quality assurance checks are completed and maintained. A Logistics Manager is especially responsible for monitoring deliveries, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining accurate logs of all transportation and goods.
The Manager will be responsible for the warehouse management in overseeing and supporting the function relating to direct receiving, warehousing and distribution operations including the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of relief items for distribution to beneficiaries within Turkey.
