The session quickly turned into a high resonance with the mention of what is “the mistake in the successive Syrian constitutions.” The audience believed that all Syrian constitutions burdened with errors such as the preference of nationalism over other components, the insertion of religion into the identity of the state and the head of the system, the transgression of the principle of separation of powers, the absence of a role for the Constitutional Court and the mixing of jurisdiction between the three authorities, and most importantly, the actual appointment processes and the issuance of formal decisions by the legislative authorities of the system when announcing the Constitutional committees, in addition to the custom of “copying and pasting.” It should be noted that Berjaf held its dialogue sessions in a number of cities in north and east Syria, such as Manbij, Kobani, Derek, Rmelan, Hewler, and sessions will be held in Qamishlo in the coming days.
