SAMS organized, over a period of 12 days, a CETA (Common Elements Approach) training, which is the first of its kind in northwestern Syria.
The information provided through CETA, includes a scientific, evidence-based approach to the proper management of mental and behavioral disorders in children through specific psychological interventions, an approach developed by Johns Hopkins University.
Zakwan Halil, assistant project manager at SAMS, says about this training: “CETA provided important information to the attendees, on addressing behavioral and mental problems in children, as within a series of continuous and interrelated sessions to meet the psychological, mental and behavioral needs of children, four supervisors were graduated, And 11 female consultants to work in some SAMS facilities.
The trainee, "Ranees Haddad," supervising the consultants in the CETA program at Ma'aret Misrin Hospital, says after the end of the training: "A new and very important program, through which we learned new experiences and skills, rich in scientific information, in treatment with common elements."
The graduates of CETA training will contribute to fulfilling the great need in dealing with children's psychological problems in scientific ways in the workplace.
This first qualitative training was held in the Impact Hall in the city of Dana, and later in the city of Afrin, and was presented by female trainers from America and Lebanon remotely via the zoom technique.
