Verify-Sy has concluded the second round of its fellowship program, which lasted for three months, with the participation of ten Syrian female journalists, to support the monitoring and follow-up skills of female workers in the field of news and information, enhancing their verification skills, and combating misinformation and news.

Ten Syrian female journalists were selected from among 87 applications that reached the platform after it announced the opening of registration to participate in the program, including female journalists and information workers, most of whom have great journalistic skills and a highly professional and practical balance, which made The task of selecting, which is limited to ten seats only, is a very difficult task for the committee, which reviewed all the applications carefully and meticulously.

The platform provided the female colleagues participating in the program during the past three months with theoretical training and practical sessions by specialists and journalists from its team.

The fellowship program sought to develop the trainees’ skills by checking information and news, using search engines and open source tools, selecting and communicating with sources, in addition to highlighting the importance and professional and ethical privacy of verifying news in areas of conflict.

The program's training package is designed based on achieving the highest level of benefit through deepening in theoretical concepts, increasing the momentum of practical exercises, and integrating the training process with the reality of work in the newsroom.
