Completing the “Your Fingerprint” project
As a continuation of the "Your Fingerprint is Impact" project, which was implemented by the Women's Subcommittee of the Women's Support and Empowerment Unit in the former city of Al-Bab.
The committee started implementing the "participation" project, which aims to increase women's participation in decision-making positions and the media's advocacy for this role.
The first activities were field visits to the Local Council, the Media Union, and the Directorate of Social Affairs in the city of Al-Bab, to get acquainted with the activities of previous bodies and discuss advocacy tools for women. In addition to dialogue sessions, the most prominent of which was a session on women’s advocacy tools, during which about 30 women inside Syria and several Syrian activists abroad participated through the Zoom platform, to enhance communication between women and actors in society, in addition to benefiting from stories and experiences Women leaders, developing advocacy tools through them, and increasing networking.
The session included many topics, the most important of which were:
Discussing the challenges and difficulties facing women.
Possible measures to ensure women's political participation.
Talking about mechanisms to advocate for women's participation and support them in activating their role.
It concluded by agreeing to mobilize towards better participation of women and to convey the experiences of women leaders within.
