The Syrian Center for Media and Freedom of Expression invites you to participate in the second session to contribute and participate in the Transitional Justice Forum

The Syrian Center for Media and Freedom of Expression invites you to participate in the second session to contribute and participate in the Transitional Justice Forum, which will discuss the following points:

  • A narrative by the Constitutional Committee about the general context that was worked on in the issue of detainees and missing persons: Where did we fail?
  • Separating the file as a humanitarian file from the political track and addressing it immediately in the implementation of the relevant international resolutions.
  • Addressing the issue of detention and enforced disappearance in the constitutional contents, forming independent bodies to implement transitional justice measures.
  • The vision of short-term justice and long-term justice.
  • A transitional justice perspective on achieving satisfaction and entitlement for victims to move from the conflict phase to the peace phase.
  • Transitional justice focuses more on victims and society as bearers of peace than on criminally punishing perpetrators.

You can send a question or an intervention (text/audio/video) via the link to be presented and discussed within the session (provided that it does not exceed 150 words / 30 seconds).
