The second session of the Transitional Justice Forum on the Caesar Families Association

Mother Maryam Al-Hallaq and Sister Yasmine Mishaan participated in the third session of the Transitional Justice Forum on the Caesar Families Association.
The Syrian Center for Media and Freedom of Expression holds periodic discussion sessions under the title "Transitional Justice Forum", based on the importance of efforts to create an interactive dialogue space between international experiences and Syrian actors on the concept of transitional justice.
The following points will be discussed in the second session:
• A narrative by the Constitutional Committee about the general context that was worked on in the issue of detainees and missing persons: Where did we fail?
Separating the file as a humanitarian file from the political track and addressing it immediately in implementation of the relevant international resolutions.
• Addressing the issue of arrest and enforced disappearance in the constitutional contents, forming independent bodies to implement transitional justice measures.
• The vision of justice in the short term and justice in the long term.
• The perspective of transitional justice in achieving satisfaction and entitlement for victims to move from the conflict phase to the peace phase.
• The focus of transitional justice on victims and society as carriers of peace more than on the criminal punishment of perpetrators.
• The second session will be moderated by: the writer and the media person, A. Peaceful Samira.
