The second constitutional session of the Bercav Organization in Kobani: The state is a rigid entity, and the constitution must focus on the identity of its residents!

16 participants attended, most of them from the partisan, civil and feminist spheres, and from the various sectors of the self-administration, in addition to the presence of a group of lawyers interested in issues of public affairs; Dr. Samira Moubayed, a member of the Constitutional Committee from the civil society bloc, participated with the attendees, who gave her participation in a briefing that spoke in detail about the work of the committee, the challenges and the internal Syrian political conditions and at the level of the international community facing the entire constitutional process. Moubayed went on to talk about what was stated in the "speech of oath", the ideas recently put forward by China, and how the latest data put the stick in the wheel, and that attempts that are not in harmony with the spirit of UN Resolution 2254 impede peacebuilding and contribute to the destruction of Syrians and Syrians, just as the Syrian entitlement It is to advance the constitutional process and involve everyone in the process towards building peace and a cherished future for its residents. The discussions took an aspect of the formulation of identity for Syria, and Moubayed saw that states do not have an identity because they are a static entity, but the identity of states is part of the identity of their residents, and Syria must have a pluralistic identity. Moubayed put forward many ideas regarding identity, and everyone believed that the identity of the state should express Syria's multiple population; They considered that it is very important when drafting the constitution to have in this chapter the title “Syria is a country of multiple nationalities and religions,” and there is no special privilege for any religion or nationality, and just as the sources of legislation must be from all Syrian civilized expressions, covenants and human rights charters. The session was the last in Kobani, and according to the plan, there are sessions in Manbij, Derik, Qamishli, and Erbil that will be held in the coming weeks.
