Launching a conference to announce the "Civil Society Organizations Coalition in North and East Syria" in Qamishli

A conference will be held for a group of organizations, estimated at more than a hundred, working in the civil, humanitarian, human rights, and research fields, and in the geographical context in north and east Syria. It appears that the name of the alliance was written in four languages: Arabic, Kurdish, Syriac, in addition to English. The roles were distributed on the conference management platform to five organizations, which are part of the organizations that participated in the "constituent body", and opening speeches were given by Dr. Nasser Hajj Mansour, and Alan Hassaf, project manager for harmony in DT and the US State Support. Apart from the technical challenges, portfolios including the internal system and internal papers belonging to the coalition were distributed. The coalition comes in response to the need for organizations operating in north and east Syria to unify their efforts in information management and sharing, in the process of mobilization and advocacy, and in strengthening coordination between actors in the civil space in order to advance and crystallize the reality of a Syrian civil society within the local and national framework. It should be noted that the efforts that culminated today are the outcome of the daily struggle of the organizations that worked for more than a year, which were burdened with discussions, and the exchange of visions and ideas, leading to the convening of the conference and the announcement of an ambitious “civil coalition.”
