Relief and Development Center:
Our center was established in 2003 in Damascus by a group of young people who believed in humanitarian work, following the asylum of a number of Sudanese, and the work continued during the asylum of Iraqis and Somalis and during the July war in Lebanon, and it took Damascus as its center.
Today, we are facing the challenge of our crisis in Syria, as we continue to support the needy and build a healthy Syrian person.
The Center gained its experience in relief and development work over the years, and its principles were determined by the multiplicity of needs.
The affiliations varied, and the members of the center acquired many experiences over the years, which were refined through training and education.
In addition, the doubling of the number of volunteers who believe in the principles of the center's work enabled us to reach the most remote geographical spaces in all of Syria.
The center consists of two main sections:
1- Relief:
It is concerned with relief affairs in cases of: asylum, crises and accidents, as it contributes to securing housing, food, basic needs and medical support through free medical centers and clinics.
2- Development: It works to pay attention to development for all ages and groups, and includes:
- educational support
Psychosocial support
Legal Support
Engineering support
Supporting livelihoods and community resilience
- Vocational training
Our center believes in the necessity of initiative and presence where humanitarian work should be, and the members of the center took the slogan:
"We are...where you are"
As a document of their work and an irreversible declaration, the goal is to build the human being first.
