Human Rights Organization in Syria - MAF, a Syrian Kurdish human rights organization, founded in 2004.

Since its establishment, it has worked to spread the concepts of human rights through hundreds of copies of the texts of international treaties and charters in the Arabic language and distribute them free of charge, as well as holding many seminars and workshops for activists inside Syria, the first of which was in 2006 in the city of Aleppo in cooperation with the Amman Center for Human Rights Studies .

The organization also worked on documenting and exposing violations by issuing statements and reports on this, either individually, or collectively with many Syrian human rights organizations.

The organization's lawyers team participated alone or in cooperation with colleagues in other organizations in defending the detainees before the Syrian courts. Many members of the organization were subjected to many harassments and prosecutions, as well as arrests, because of their activities in the organization.

With the horrific increase and diversification of cases of violations in Syria, including killings, arrests, and systematic destruction since mid-2011, the organization with six other Syrian human rights organizations coordinated joint work in documenting and issuing joint statements to that. It also worked at the end of 2013, in partnership with more than 40 Syrian human rights organizations and bodies, to establish the Syrian Federation of Human Rights Organizations and Bodies in Syria.

MAF aims to:
